SOLANA has officially reduced the target interval time from 300 ms to 250 ms, which increases the block production rate by 17%. This upgrade was enabled on September 18 with SIMD-0525. ([Solana][1])
However, this change does not mean a 17% increase in the number of transactions per second. Each interval now contains fewer accounts and less data; therefore, the total processing capacity remains roughly the same.
