$BTC heading to $102k / $105k - what NEEDS to happen?
BTC went back to $86k now, and the market is asking the same question: can we reach $102k?
Yes. But you need this checklist:
1. Break $88k - $90k and HOLD
There's a strong resistance wall between $91k and $102k. Without a weekly close above $90k with volume, $102k won't come.
2. ETF flow to return
The last leg down to $86k came with institutional inflows. If spot ETFs start buying again by +$200M/day, the path opens. If they keep going flat—zero to zero—we’ll just keep moving sideways.
3. Macro liquidity
BTC rising along with oil falling and yields easing. It needs a dovish Fed + the DXY dropping. Without that, it’s a “sell-the-rip” rally.
4. Short squeeze
There’s more than $2B in liquidations above $88k. If it breaks, it turns into a cascade effect up to $95k, and then a push toward the top at $102k. $102k is a fragile ceiling that has already capped the price before.
5. Dominance
BTC.D needs to hold above 58%. If money migrates to alts now, BTC won’t have the strength to reach $105k.
My scenario:
$86k -> consolidates -> breaks $90k -> $95k fast -> final battle at $102k. Only above $102k with volume does $105k open.
Invalidation: losing $81k-$80k again. Then it goes back to the sidelines.
And you, do you think we’ll still target $102k in September?
