On this day when the dog is rising, I think of my 2021 self.
Seeing the dog at 0.09 today.
The comments section is full of celebration: “We’re taking off!” “The dog king is back!”
I look up a one-year chart: -64.72%.
Suddenly I remember my 2021 self—
back then the dog was $0.7, and in the group chat people were saying $1 wasn’t a dream.
I put in three months’ salary, thinking: the dog is trying so hard, I can’t not try.
So what happened later? Later… there wasn’t any “later.”
Between today’s 0.09 and back then’s 0.7,
there are so many people’s youth—and so many early “I should’ve known.”
So when I see the dog jump 12% tonight,
I don’t have FOMO, and I’m not excited.
I just set my phone down and tell myself:
This time, no matter where it goes, I’ll only use money I can afford to lose to stay with it.
The market can come again, but time can’t be redone.🐕💤
