Foresight News reports that, according to the Optimism blog, the South Korean payment company Toss and the Korea Minting, Pressing, Security Printing Corporation (KOMSCO) completed an end-to-end proof of concept for “local charitable voucher” blockchain payments on the OP Stack. The recharge, spending, and settlement are completed within a single on-chain blockchain transaction, allowing merchants to receive funds instantly without waiting for the traditional settlement cycle of several days. The test was conducted in a separate test environment and has not yet been deployed; both parties have also not released an official rollout timeline.
