Seeing that $249 meeting-notes ring, my first reaction isn’t “so convenient,” it’s “my stupid things I said in meetings finally have a device that can permanently save them.”

After the years of remote work, I’ve long gotten used to muting myself, turning off the camera, and pretending the signal is bad. Now that the ring goes on my finger, it’s like giving all my useless chatter a cloud backup—and with privacy controversies included. The tech is good, but for now I don’t want any hardware knowing how many times I roll my eyes in a day.

So what’s the next feature—automatically generating the version of the minutes my boss wants to hear? I might be willing to consider that.
