The liquidation arrived: Lessons from a night in Short 📉⚠️
Last night I left open a Short position on $LINK, looking to capture the RSI exhaustion on the 4H timeframe. The market kept pushing strongly to the upside, broke through my invalidation zone, and the position was liquidated.
The rules of the market are clear, and this is part of the process:
The risk of the Short: Trading against the immediate trend always requires extreme precision. If the bullish momentum continues, the RSI overbought condition can extend farther than expected.
Damage control: Since I traded with Isolated margin, the loss was strictly limited to the margin of that position. My main balance in Spot and the rest of the account remained untouched.
Stick to the plan: Getting liquidated is part of trading; what matters is not to fall into overtrading or try to "seek revenge" against the chart.
Time to pause, analyze the reading error, recalibrate your mindset, and return to the disciplined plan when the market gives a clear structure again. 🧠
