Two prices, same time. At 12:00 UTC on September 20, 2026, the PitbullChain P2P radar showed USDT at Bs. 963.9991 for buy and Bs. 921.9258 for sell. The difference is Bs. 42.07: a spread of 4.56%. That is the figure that repeats in screenshots and chat groups.

The order book from the same moment says something else: best ask at Bs. 952,50, best bid at Bs. 948,30, spread of Bs. 4,20 and 0.44%. Between those two measurements there’s a difference of 4.12 percentage points. None of them is wrong. They measure different things, and knowing which one to use depends on what you’re doing.

📊 What each number measures

The radar aggregates. It takes the offers published by bank and payment method, averages them, and publishes the buy extreme against the sell extreme. That’s where Binance ads and those from other platforms coexist, with different banks, limits, and amounts. The result is a wide picture of the market: it’s useful for spotting trends and the premium vs the BCV, not for knowing at what price you close.

The book orders. It only takes the best offer on each side around the mid-point (Bs. 950,40 in this capture). It’s the closest price someone is willing to accept right now. If your order fits within the available amount of that offer, that’s the price you’ll see.

The gap is easier to read in bolivars. The radar buy price (Bs. 963,9991) is Bs. 11.50 above the book’s best ask (Bs. 952,50), or 1.21%. On the other side, the best bid (Bs. 948,30) is Bs. 26.37 above the radar sell price (Bs. 921,9258), or 2.78%. That’s where the bulk of the 4.56% comes from.

📈 Breakdown by bank: where the spread opens up

The radar also publishes spread and liquidity by bank. This is the capture table, ordered from smallest to largest spread:

Bank or method Buy price USDT Sell price USDT Spread Bs. Spread % Ads Liquidity

Banco de Venezuela 953,12 947,35 5,77 0,61% 19 17,9%

BANK 953,11 947,27 5,84 0,62% 15 14,2%

Mercantil 953,58 947,60 5,98 0,63% 4 3,8%

Banesco 955,31 947,00 8,30 0,88% 29 27,4%

Pago Móvil 957,08 938,58 18,50 1,97% 22 20,8%

Another method 958,48 938,31 20,17 2,15% 16 15,1%

Bank transfer No data 938,11 Not calculable — 1 0,9%

Two groups split clearly. Banco de Venezuela (0.61%), BANK (0.62%), Mercantil (0.63%), and Banesco (0.88%) operate with differences of a single digit—each with visible orders on Binance. Pago Móvil (1.97%) and Another method (2.15%) duplicate or triple that gap, and in this cut they only appear on other platforms.

The practical takeaway: the more specific the payment method, the tighter the offer and the wider the spread. Pago Móvil has 22 ads and 20.8% of the measured liquidity; Another method has 16 ads and 15.1%. Mercantil, on the other hand, has only 4 ads and 3.8% of liquidity: its spread is low, but the depth is short.

Bank transfer shows up with a single ad and no registered buy price. Without both sides there’s no calculable spread, and we’re saying it as it is: the data isn’t enough to compare.

🔎 Depth: the best price is not always yours

The best ask (Bs. 952,50) had 2,550 USDT in a single offer, with limits from 255 to 2,550 USDT. The best bid (Bs. 948,30) carried 5,440.06 USDT. If your order exceeds those amounts, you consume the next level and your average price gets worse than the best screen price.

The order book showed 30 offers per side, 156 listings in total, and a 27.19% imbalance: 221,280.19 USDT on the buy side versus 126,668.41 USDT on the sell side. The radar, in turn, showed 172 active offers. The difference between 156 and 172 is explained because each source counts the market differently at the time of the capture.

💰 Premium vs the BCV: two readings of the same market

The BCV showed Bs. 849,564. Against the radar buy price (Bs. 963,9991), the premium is 13.47%. Against the book mid-point (Bs. 950,40), the calculation gives 11.87%. Almost a 1.6-point difference just from choosing which reference to compare to.

The P2P parallel, measured on Binance, was at Bs. 953,24 with a spread of 0.40% (Bs. 3,84 between Bs. 955,16 and Bs. 951,32). That 0.40% looks a lot like the 0.44% from the book, and it’s not a coincidence: both are looking at the same type of market.
