One week has passed since the zkSync Era mainnet Alpha version was launched on March 24. The total locked value (TVL) on the chain has reached 27.46 million US dollars, and the number of users is about 178,000. In this week, the number of transactions on zkSync Era exceeded 200,000. At present, there are still few ecological applications in the early stage of development. After the foundation is improved, its ecology still has huge room for growth.

Not long after Arbitrum issued its coin, the concept of the second layer is very popular. In comparison, the financing background and technical background of zkSync development company Matter Labs should not be underestimated. Matter Labs completed US$200 million in financing in November 2022. Four years ago, the development team foresaw that ZK would become the key to the large-scale application of cryptocurrency. On December 20, 2020, zkSync Lite (formerly zkSync 1.0) was launched, but due to the lack of EVM functions, it is relatively inconvenient for developers to use.

So the main reason why the launch of zkSync Era has attracted so much attention is because the team has open-sourced zkEVM (zero-knowledge Ethereum virtual machine), making it easier for developers to use. As a ZK Rollup, zkSync Era uses cryptographic validity proofs to provide a trustless protocol for scalable and low-cost transactions on Ethereum. zkSync Era also provides features such as native account abstraction, LLVM compiler, and data compression to build ultra-scalability. The zkSync Era ecosystem has attracted multiple applications, including DeFi, wallets, cross-chain, NFT, infrastructure and other fields. Currently, Foresight News has sorted out 34 applications that have been officially launched on zkSync Era. The quick overview of the ecosystem is as follows:
