Three London locations suspected of running illegal point-to-point encryption businesses; the FCA, together with tax authorities and police, went to the premises and issued a shutdown order.

A harsher line: in the entire UK, there are now zero P2P crypto businesses on the registered list.

That means if you truly treat this as a business, according to their terms, you’re not on the list of legitimate operators to begin with.

This is the second time this year. Back in April, they raided a batch; the evidence has already been pushed toward criminal investigation.

The enforcement director Steve Smart put it plainly: if you’re running an unregistered P2P, just assume we’re already watching you.

The UK’s real major regulator will not be in place until October 2027. Before then, the anti-money-laundering layer will act first.
