OpenAI Inc. is studying investment opportunities in Canada, according to George Osborne, the company’s head of international relations. Osborne attended the Canadian investment summit organized by Prime Minister Mark Carney, which brought together top money managers and investors from around the world.
Osborne, who served as UK chancellor of the exchequer between 2010 and 2016, and who previously appointed Carney to lead the Bank of England, said that the artificial intelligence company seeks to “explore investment potential in Canada, as it is an extremely important market for OpenAI and abounds with promising opportunities.”
