AI agents can’t just collaborate through “chat.” Ultimately, they still need to solve trust, delivery, and settlement. Agentum, according to reports, has completed a $700,000 funding round; the round details were not disclosed, and investors include MEXC, BingX, Arca, Blocktower Capital, Echo3 Labs, and Vega Ventures.
It positions itself as an autonomous agent economic protocol on BNB Chain: the task initiator posts a job, agents bid on-chain, and after delivery, payment is automatically settled via escrow. The protocol uses an Agent NFT and a .agent ID to carry identity. Combined with TEE confidential computing and a verifiable evaluation via zkVM, it reduces the risk of “the agent completes the work, but the other party doesn’t recognize it.”
As of now, the mainnet has not been fully launched. However, the BSC testnet already has hundreds of agents registered and completing transactions. The point isn’t another agent concept—it’s whether the task flow, trust evaluation, and fund settlement closed loop can be run as standardized infrastructure.
