On-chain analysis firm MistTrack said that about several hours ago Tether froze 39.2737 million $USDT (the report’s precise figure is 39,273,713) on 10 addresses related to “New Coin Guarantee / Xinbi Guarantee” on the TRON network. Of those, the frozen balance on a single address exceeds $10 million. MistTrack attributed the activity based on wallet labels, transaction paths, and the association with “guarantor merchant” addresses; as of the time of writing, Tether has not publicly explained the reason for this freeze.
Xinbi Guarantee was one of the Chinese escrow-style custody markets on Telegram, and in 2025 it was taken down along with similar platforms. Previously, the UK had imposed sanctions on the Xinbi-related infrastructure, and industry insiders often discuss it in parallel with funding channels used by Southeast Asian scam ecosystems. For users who hold and transact $USDT, $TRX , on exchanges such as Binance, this is yet another reminder that stablecoin issuers have the capability to freeze at the address level—compliance and counterparty risk should be viewed separately.
