Imagine: Friday evening, the stock exchange is already closed.

But news about a major American company comes out on Saturday.

For the traditional stock market, you’ll have to wait for the market to open.

For bStocks, the situation is different: Binance-tokenized securities can be traded 24/7.

That’s one of the most interesting features of tokenizing traditional assets.

bStocks also support 1:1 conversion, and Binance states that each token is backed by a corresponding real share held by a regulated custodian.

So the blockchain is used here not to create a “new share,” but to move exposure to a traditional asset into an on-chain environment.

And that’s already far more interesting than the simple word “tokenization.”
