🔥 BTC has just completed one of the strongest months of 2026 so far, but the rules of the game in September may have changed.
In August, $BTC surged from the 60K range all the way through 80K, with a monthly gain of nearly 25%.
If you only look at price, it’s a very beautiful rebound.
But as we enter September, I’m actually starting to pay less attention to the “next breakout.”
That’s because the market is showing three notable changes:
① BTC has returned to around the 78K area, and upside momentum is starting to cool
② BTC spot ETFs have ended nine consecutive trading days of net inflows—an obvious pause appears in institutional buying for the first time
③ Binance’s BTC reserves have risen to near the highest level this year, and potential sell pressure is worth watching
More importantly:
Macroeconomic variables are back.
The market is re-evaluating the Fed’s policy for September, and the upcoming US employment data and CPI are likely to directly affect the direction of risk assets in the next phase.
So in the first week of September, I won’t rush to guess when BTC will break above 80K again.
I’d rather watch:
👀 During BTC pullbacks, is there real spot demand stepping in
👀 Can ETH continue to maintain relative strength
👀 When BTC is consolidating, can BNB and other major coins move independently
August was about:
BREAKOUT.
The first phase of September may be about:
CONFIRMATION.
A truly strong bull market isn’t just about how fast it can rise.
You also have to see—
After it rallies, can it hold.
👇 Who do you like most for relative performance in September?
BTC / ETH / BNB?
