Just after the midday session, BTC slid back from around 79.5万 to the 78.4万 range. At the same time, ETH dropped from 2512 to 2475. It’s not the market collapsing—it’s the major players testing your conviction.

━━━ The real face of this drop ━━━
Volume tells it all—during the midday, that big K candle had BTC trading volume exceeding 2.8 billion USD, more than 7 times higher than the previous few candles. A volume-backed selloff isn’t a shakeout; it’s genuine selling pressure. The key question is: who is doing the selling?

Look at the ETH long/short ratio: 2.26. That means longs are more than twice the shorts. With such a high long ratio paired with the midday downward move, it points to one thing—shorts are accelerating the fall by riding on the passive stop-losses of longs. In this structure, ETH is more dangerous than BTC.

BTC, on the other hand, looks relatively healthy: the long/short ratio is 1.04, nearly balanced. Funding rate is 0.01%, and OI stands at 84 billion USD. The major players haven’t exited—they’re just reorganizing.

━━━ Key levels for the afternoon ━━━
BTC: 78400 is the support just tested. If it holds, there’s a chance for a rebound. If it breaks and falls below the 77500–78000 range, that becomes the real long/short dividing line in the near term. Resistance above at 79500–80000 is the zone that was previously rejected; whether today can reclaim it will decide the afternoon direction.

ETH: 2460–2470 is short-term support. Break it and you’re looking at 2420. For a rebound, watch 2520—only when it holds steady will the repair be considered effective.

━━━ What to do in the afternoon ━━━
My view: Today, BTC will most likely range between 78000 and 80000, digesting the move. Direction will become clearer only after the evening U.S. stock market opens. ETH has an excessively high long/short ratio, so rebound upside is limited—there’s no reason to chase longs.

If you have positions: Set BTC stop-loss below 77800. There’s no need to admit defeat early. If you’re in no position: Wait for confirmation of direction before entering—after this kind of high-volume consolidation, the eventual direction choice is often the best opportunity of the day.

I’ve seen too many people make the wrong decisions out of anxiety at times like this. The market doesn’t reward hard work—it rewards correctness.
