In the past few hours, trading volume was 3.2 times the usual.
Price: 0.5473, +38.6% over 24 hours.
This kind of volume isn’t something retail traders can generate.
There must be big capital moving behind the scenes.
But what are they doing?
It’s not clear yet.
Open interest (OI) is up 8.2%, and the funding rate is 0.005%.
There are two possibilities.
First:
Big capital is building a position. OI rises in sync, and the next move will likely be a directional breakout.
Second:
Big capital is distributing. OI falls in sync; once the volume has been absorbed, the price will actually drop.
So now I’m asking myself one question:
If I were that big capital, what would I most want retail traders to do here?
In many cases, the answer is right in the order book.
I’m only watching two levels:
Break above 0.5495, with volume still coming in → that’s a follow/bullish signal.
Drop below 0.4355, with OI rising → bearish.
Volume moves first; wait for price to confirm the answer.
