Binance Wallet rolled out the TermMax campaign in front.
In total, there are 2,000,000 TMX token share rewards.
For the first task, 80,000 people completed it all—what they received was 1,700,000 shares.
So, let’s do the math: 80,000 people average about 21.25 TMX per person.
Based on the current pre-market value, that’s roughly around $3.8.
Doesn’t this seem a bit not worth it?

I also read the TermMax whitepaper. I found that what’s really worth investigating isn’t just the XP everyone grinds every day and completing tasks, but also its “Fixed Rate Tokenization” mechanism.

Let’s give an example. If users deposit 500 USDC, the protocol generates 500 XT and 500 FT. Then swap 500 XT into 125 FT. In the end, you obtain 625 FT.
At maturity, each FT is redeemed at 1 USDC, so the 500 USDC principal corresponds to a maturity value of 625 USDC.
The theoretical yield reaches 25%.

So this is interesting.

In traditional DeFi lending, at its core you’re trading “money right now.”
TermMax is more like trading “money in the future.”
FT can be understood as future cash flows with a fixed, certain redemption, while XT carries the other part of the returns and the leverage characteristics.
So interest rates are no longer just an APY number on a page—they directly become part of asset pricing.

I also look at on-chain data. Currently, TermMax TVL is around $34M, Active Loans about $29.5M, and cumulative protocol revenue about $369K.
Among this, Ethereum accounts for over $32M of TVL, indicating that liquidity is highly concentrated on Ethereum right now.

So if in the future TermMax can keep growing the roughly $34M TVL from today consistently, it may no longer just be a DeFi lending product—it could become a liquidity entry point for an on-chain fixed-income market.

We could even be a bit more aggressive—if RWA, stablecoins, and on-chain US stock assets keep growing, what institutions lack isn’t necessarily a higher APY; it’s the ability to lock in in advance “how much I borrow, for how long, and what the cost is.”
TermMax can potentially solve exactly this.
But the risks are also obvious: today’s TVL of about $34M versus active loans of $29.5M is still very small compared with truly top lending protocols.
And the revenue scale is currently only on the order of a few hundred thousand dollars.

So, my take is that it’s more like a “seed of an interest-rate market” that has just started to sprout.
What’s really worth watching is whether, over the next six months, TVL can grow further without relying on XP incentives, and whether the real trading depth of FT/XT can actually take off.
