Odaily Planet Daily reports that market maker firm Jane Street is repaying a $5.5 billion floating-rate loan as part of a debt restructuring totaling $11 billion. The company also plans to issue $14.6 billion in senior secured notes that mature in 2031, 2033, and 2036, to refinance $5.6 billion in bonds.
S&P has assigned Jane Street a BB rating for its upcoming debt transaction, two notches below investment grade, and noted that Jane Street has a “consistently strong earnings record,” while the scale and coverage of its trading business continue to expand.
Jane Street’s trading revenue hit a record high last year, reaching $39.6 billion. Bloomberg previously reported that the company is in talks with institutions, including Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), about related financing arrangements. (Bloomberg)
