Hacker incident again—this bear market is really not peaceful! 💥
The Bifrost liquidity pool was attacked on August 8 at 19:47 (UTC+8). The attackers exploited a vulnerability to steal approximately 881,150 DOT from the vDOT single-coin pool, the vASTR/ASTR shared custody vault, and the vMANTA/MANTA shared custody vault. At the time, it was worth about $720,000.
Flow of funds:
Bifrost → AssetHub → HitBTC → Binance
The official team has urgently paused the related mining pools, stopped all liquidity mining rewards, and submitted requests to freeze assets to HitBTC and Binance, while also working with law-enforcement authorities to recover the stolen funds.
Good news: vDOT still fully supports 1:1, and the underlying DOT reserves are unaffected.

A quick rant:
HitBTC is a terrible exchange— they directly kept my BTC pie and locked my account.
In a bear market, projects get hacked and exchanges mess things up. Being squeezed from both sides is really infuriating.
Asset safety is always the top priority—everyone, please be extra careful!
