BTC's been range-bound for days, so I finally ran the Native Bitcoin Backed Borrowing flow @BabylonLabs_io built on Aave v4 testnet instead of reading about it. Expected instant — lock BTC, borrow, no bridge, no wrapping. Instead I sat refreshing my wallet at 1am, convinced it broke. It hadn't. The BTC sits in a Trustless Bitcoin Vault while the system verifies the lock against Bitcoin's own chain before it counts as collateral. Trustless doesn't mean instant — it just relocates the wait, from a bridge operator to Bitcoin's clock. Does that tradeoff still hold once mainnet and real liquidations are live?
