Wu Xia was informed that, according to Alex Grieve, Vice President of Government Affairs for Paradigm, CME Group has hired former SEC official Heather Percival as Senior Director and Associate General Counsel. Percival served at the SEC for nearly 12 years and previously held the position of Policy Counsel to the Chair for then-SEC Chair Gary Gensler. Before leaving, her role was Senior Special Counsel. Notably, CME previously sued the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) over regulatory issues related to crypto perpetual contracts.
