The Midnight Foundation said the Wanchain Cardano↔BNB cross-chain bridge attack caused many exchanges, including KuCoin, Kraken, Binance, Bybit, OKX, Gate, and MEXC, to coordinate in handling it.

Platforms have applied measures such as temporarily freezing certain accounts and related addresses, placing the attacker’s wallets on a blacklist, and temporarily suspending NIGHT deposits and withdrawals when necessary, to limit the transfer and withdrawal of stolen funds.

Midnight says this is an individual security incident related to a third-party bridge. The @MidnightNtwrk network and NIGHT assets are not affected.

The team continues investigating with exchanges and partners within the ecosystem. The project also asks the community to only follow official information.
