At the beginning of trading, I also thought:

As long as your technical skills are strong enough, you can make money.

Later, the market woke me up—hard.

You can learn indicators.

You can practice methods.

But once you can’t control your desires, you’ll never make money.

There was one time my account had 12,000U.

After a few consecutive winning trades, I started getting inflated.

You feel like your state is here.

Then the next trade opened a 7,000U position right away.

The market is just a normal pullback.

But then I started to panic.

No stop-loss, no reducing position.

Lost more than 4,000 U after all.

It was only then that I finally understood:

The biggest risk in trading isn’t market movement.

It’s because you lost your composure.

A truly great trader isn’t someone who gets it right every time.

Not being right is fine—the key is losing less when you’re wrong.

When you’re right, make big profits.

My principle has always been simple:

Keep losses within the plan.

Let the market determine your profits.

Don’t chase or sell off at every move; don’t trade too frequently.

Not placing a trade in a day doesn’t mean you missed the opportunity.

Randomly placing ten orders is truly dangerous.

The market never closes.

But your principal might not.

The biggest feeling from the recent market is: there are plenty of opportunities, but even more temptations.

If you want to make money in this market, first learn how to protect yourself.
