The man who almost brought down PumpFun – Solana ($SOL )

🔵 Jarrett Dunn is a former employee of the PumpFun platform from Canada. He was homeless in the past, then later got involved in the world of cryptocurrencies. He was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of twenty.

🔵 In May 2024, PumpFun announced that it had suffered a security breach, with nearly 80 million dollars withdrawn from the platform. This raised concerns in the market about the potential collapse of the Solana network.

🔵 A few hours later, Jarrett Dunn himself came forward and admitted responsibility. He used his access to private keys and multi-party debt mechanisms, explaining that he wanted to destroy PumpFun because it – in his words – "harms the community."

🔵 Instead of fleeing, he began distributing the funds to random Solana wallets. The money reached meme communities and small traders, and people started calling him the "Robin Hood of cryptocurrencies."

🔵 He did not hide, was completely calm, and publicly stated that he was ready to go to jail. On the same day, Canadian police arrested him.#USNonFarmPayrollReport
