Elon Musk's net worth first breaks the 600 billion dollar mark

On December 16, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Elon Musk's net worth has reached approximately 638 billion dollars, breaking the 600 billion dollar mark for the first time, setting a new record for individual wealth globally. This milestone is mainly attributed to SpaceX's valuation soaring to approximately 800 billion dollars in the latest round of internal stock transactions, making it the most valuable private company in the world.

Musk holds 42% of SpaceX, which is valued at approximately 317 billion dollars after adjusting for liquidity discounts. If SpaceX successfully goes public as planned and achieves a valuation target of 1.5 trillion dollars by next year, Musk's stake will be worth over 625 billion dollars, making him the first trillionaire in the world.

It is worth noting that Musk first broke the 100 billion dollar wealth mark in 2020, and when he was first included in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index in May 2013, his wealth was only estimated at 4.8 billion dollars. SpaceX's leading position in the aerospace and internet services sectors, with the Falcon 9 rocket and Starlink satellite system, has become a crucial pillar for Musk's wealth growth.
