Dear Binance community members!
Binance today announced a significant regulatory step in Pakistan, resulting from strategic interactions between Binance's senior management and representatives of the Government of Pakistan. Under the leadership of Binance's co-CEO Richard Teng, these ongoing consultations with key officials underscore Binance's commitment to supporting the growth of a regulated and secure digital asset ecosystem in the country.
Binance has received registration under anti-money laundering (AML) regulations in accordance with PVARA requirements, which is a key milestone on the path to full licensing and local incorporation in Pakistan. This phased approach will allow Binance to provide international remittance services under AML registration while preparing to obtain full licensing as a virtual asset service provider (VASP) in accordance with Pakistan's regulatory roadmap.
Binance remains committed to supporting digital economies across the South Asian region and looks forward to further collaboration with regulators and stakeholders to create a resilient, transparent, and inclusive virtual asset ecosystem.
Please note: changes are related only to the regulatory structure and will not affect the way users interact with the platform. Everyday use of the platform will remain without significant changes.
