Foresight News: Polygon has deployed the Madhugiri hard fork upgrade, increasing network throughput by 33% to approximately 1400 TPS. This upgrade introduces an adjustable block time mechanism, which means that future adjustments to block speeds will be made directly within the chain architecture without the need for a hard fork. Additionally, the upgrade standardizes consensus time to 1 second and activates Ethereum Fusaka EIPs (including EIP-7883, EIP-7825, and EIP-7823), enhancing security by limiting the gas cap on single transactions. This upgrade aims to provide more reliable infrastructure for enterprise users such as Revolut, MasterCard, and Stripe.
