The Chamber of Deputies in Paraguay approves decisions to regulate cryptocurrency mining
According to Foresight News, the Chamber of Deputies in Paraguay approved two resolutions on December 4, aiming to gather information about cryptocurrency mining activities. Proposed by Deputy María Constancia Benítez, the resolutions seek to enhance control, transparency, and regulation in the rapidly expanding mining industry. The resolutions require the relevant agencies to submit reports within 15 days. The first resolution requires the Ministry of Industry and Commerce to provide information about individuals and companies registered for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency mining. The second resolution calls on the National Electricity Administration (ANDE) to provide a list of all authorized electricity connections for cryptocurrency mining, including the names of officials and installation locations.
