2023-2024 is my watershed moment; my account finally hit eight digits for the first time.
Now when I go out and stay in five-star hotels, I don't even blink at 2000 bucks a night; I must carry a suitcase and a hat with cryptocurrency branding, so I can recognize my own no matter where I go.
Compared to my elders who work in factories or e-commerce, my life is so much more comfortable: I don't have to monitor the supply chain, negotiate contracts, or deal with clients defaulting; my worries are pitifully few.
People often ask me: What do you rely on for trading?
After thinking it over, the answer is quite simple: mindset first, skills second.
Over the years, I've developed some 'mental strategies' that I share with my brothers in the community:
$BTC is always the big brother. If you want to be part of the circle, you have to keep an eye on it. When it rises, there’s hope for the market; when it falls, all the little brothers have to follow. Occasionally, $ETH may show independent trends, but don’t expect altcoins to withstand the market.
$BTC and USDT+ are like a seesaw. Remember this: when USDT rises, be cautious with Bitcoin; if Bitcoin rises sharply, hold some USDT to secure profits.
Two critical time slots:
From 0-1 AM, it's easy to 'spike'; placing orders before sleep can often lead to gains;
From 6-8 AM, it serves as a barometer for the day's trends:
If it drops in the first half of the night, and it continues to fall in these two hours, just close your eyes and average down; there's a high probability it will rebound that day;
If it rises in the first half of the night, and continues to rise in these two hours, then run fast, as it's likely to drop that day.
At 5 PM, don’t lose focus. Due to the time difference, US funds are just entering the market, and this is when big fluctuations are most likely to occur.
“Black Friday+”? Don’t be too superstitious. Fridays have seen drops, but also rises and stagnations; it ultimately depends on the news.
The most practical tip:
As long as it’s not a scam coin and has trading volume, don’t panic if it drops. In three to five days, or a month, it will return.
If you have spare cash, average down in batches to lower costs quickly; if you don’t have spare cash, just hold on, it’s not a big deal.
The trade I’m most proud of: I bought Dogecoin at 0.085 and have held onto it till now, it’s more than 20 times its value.
Facts prove: In the end, trading coins is all about patience.
