Recently, many friends have been interviewed for 'playing U', but there is no need to panic. As long as you are aware, many issues can be handled calmly. Basically, the police will ask these three types of questions👇
① Do you know that virtual currency transactions are not protected by law?
Don't panic, this question is just a routine inquiry.
Currently, our country's laws do not directly classify virtual currency transactions as illegal, but it is clearly stated that they are 'not protected by law'. This means: the transaction itself is not illegal, but if a dispute arises, the law will not provide support.
② Involved in fraudulent funds, why is a refund necessary?
This is following the procedure.
Generally, the police will first ask you to cooperate with the refund process, part of the amount can be negotiated, and sometimes you may need to communicate with the victim for confirmation before the account has a chance to be unfrozen. Don't resist stubbornly; being proactive in cooperation is much safer than holding firm.
③ If you refuse to cooperate, will it leave a criminal record or affect other bank cards?
Normally, it won't.
As long as you can provide proof of the source of funds and transaction records, the police will not punish you, nor will it affect your other accounts.
But you need to pay attention to two points:
If your card is classified as a primary involved account, it is quite serious, and it may be monitored by both the central bank and the public security system simultaneously, and all bank cards may be frozen;
If it is a secondary involved account, the impact is relatively limited.
An account being frozen ≠ having a criminal record, don't scare yourself.
Playing U is itself a regulatory gray area; it is not that you are breaking the law, but that the system cannot fully identify it temporarily.
The key is:
Do not touch funds of unknown origin;
Do not help others with collection and payment;
Keep transaction screenshots and transfer records well.
In short: money can be earned slowly, but once an account is blacklisted, no matter how clean it is, it cannot be washed back.
