In this wave of airdrops triggered by Aptos, the Layer2 solution Scroll has received more and more attention. Scroll is a zk-rollup that develops zkEVM. Scroll has previously completed a $30 million Series A financing round led by PolychainCapital. Now that the Scroll test network is open, if you want to become an early participant and receive the project token airdrop, participating in its test network experience is undoubtedly one of the best ways.

This article is a step-by-step guide on how to interact on the Scroll Pre-Alpha testnet to qualify for future rewards.

Scroll is a zkEVM network. Scroll receives regular bytecode from layer 1 smart contracts, generates zk proofs off-chain using GPU power, and then verifies the new state on Ethereum layer 1.

Scroll aims to extend the existing EVM by enabling cheaper and faster transactions.

This article will teach you how to use the Scroll Pre-Alpha testnet, but the prerequisite is to obtain participation qualifications first, that is, you must be invited by the project to interact on the platform.

The first step is to go to the Scroll official website and find the test application registration entrance:

Fill in your personal information, including email address, Ethereum address (it is recommended to fill in a little fox address). If your application is approved, you will receive a notification email from community@scroll.io. Be careful to identify official emails to avoid email phishing scams.

Once you are eligible for testing, go to https://prealpha.scroll.io and on the home page you should add your layer 1 and layer 2 networks

Click Add to MetaMask to get all and approve transactions and tokens.

Get test coins

Find the test coin faucet (Request Faucet) and click Request to send test coins.

Check your MetaMask, you should see the test coins you received, be sure to switch to the Scroll Testnet L1 testnet

Next we will bridge these tokens from Scroll L1 to Scroll L2

Set the Token to TSETH, set the amount to 0.9, and then click "Send TSETH to Scroll L2 Testnet".

Now set the token to TUSDC and set the amount, i.e. click Approve USDC and confirm the transaction in MetaMask

You can also send TSUSDC to the Scroll L2 testnet with a single click and confirm the transaction in MetaMask.

Swap

Scroll L2 Testnet After receiving the tokens, switch Scroll L1 Testnet to Scroll L2 Testnet in MetaMask, then set “From” to TSETH and “To” to TUSDC, now set the amount to swap and click Swap, then confirm the Swap and confirm the transaction in MetaMask.

Let’s add liquidity, switch to the pool and click Add Liquidity, set the tokens to TSETH and TSUSDC respectively, set the amount and click Approve TSUSDC and confirm in MetaMask, then click Supply, then click Confirm Supply in MetaMask and approve the transaction.
