Dear user:

Based on the enthusiastic feedback and requests from the community, the Binance spot and margin trading platform will launch the self-transaction prevention (STP) function to all users at 16:00 on October 26, 2023 (Eastern District Time).

The STP function will automatically prevent the execution of self-executed orders, aiming to help users avoid unnecessary self-executed orders and related transaction fees. Binance will provide three STP modes, among which Binance spot and leverage will use "EXPIRE_MAKER" by default as the self-dealing prevention mode for all trading pairs and orders.

Notice:

  • “EXPIRE_MAKER” STP mode is the default mode for all trading pairs and orders on Binance’s spot and margin trading platforms;

  • In the "EXPIRE_MAKER" STP mode, when the user's latest taker order will be automatically completed with the previous maker order, the remaining order quantity of the maker order will automatically expire, and the corresponding taker order will be executed normally;

  • When API users send orders through the API, they can also send the "selfTradePreventionMode" parameter to select other STP modes. API users can send the "allowedSelfTradePreventionModes" parameter through the GET/api/v3/exchangeInfo port to query the STP modes supported by each trading pair. For more information about other STP modes, see the STP Features FAQ;

  • Users can check orders that have expired due to the STP function on the Binance official website, Binance App and Binance Desktop App through the transaction history page;

  • For more API inquiries, please refer to the relevant information on the Binance developer homepage or seek help from the community;

  • In the event of any discrepancy between the translated version and the original English version, the English version shall prevail.
