Decentralized data warehouse Space and Time (SxT) announced the integration of its flagship Proof of SQL solution into Chainlink. As a result, SxT's zk-Verifier will run natively on Chainlink nodes. This move is a huge advantage for blockchain projects that want to access offchain data and present it on the onchain. Chainlink's network of nodes is used by thousands of decentralized applications (dapps) and provides secured data from on- and off-chain sources.

Proof of SQL is Space and Time's solution that allows data queries to be run offline. The results can then be published to the onchain and zero-knowledge proofs can be used to show that the output is correct and the data has not been tampered with. By embedding the Zk-Verifier component within Chainlink's existing nodes, SxT makes Proof of SQL more accessible and enables dapps to reach the data they trust throughout the cross-chain ecosystem.

Space and Time believes that the future of blockchain is intertwined with AI. In July, SxT released a chatbot powered by ChatGPT that makes it easier for developers to query off-chain data using natural language prompts. The AI requirement for LLMs using large data pools is an ideal use case for Space and Time's Proof of SQL. Intensive calculations need to be performed off-chain, with solutions such as Proof of SQL being the only practical way to present data analysis outputs on the onchain.

“We are excited that Space and Time is using Chainlink for secure decentralized computation in the new Proof of SQL ZK protocol,” said Chainlink's Sergey Nazarov. “By providing developers with the ability to back application databases with encrypted proofs, Chainlink and Space and Time are creating an end-to-end decentralized technology stack that helps web3 scale."
