PANews September 11, it is reported that, in relation to a single Bitcoin on-chain transaction at 1:00 a.m. today with a transaction fee of 19.82 BTC, Jameson Lopp, co-founder and CTO of the self-custody wallet Casa, said on the X platform: “This appears to be a transaction by an exchange or payment company using a buggy software. They received more than 60,000 transactions and sent more than 60,000 transactions from the same address (bad practice), and they likely miscalculated the change output. The address where the fee calculation error occurred has the characteristics of an enterprise hot wallet that is used only for withdrawals. It looks like it only receives deposits from one address from time to time to replenish the balance whenever needed.”
