The Red Candle Clan once ruled the market with absolute authority. For generations, traders and sorcerers feared their power, but everything changed when the Green Candle Alliance united and launched a war that shook the entire market.
The Red Candle Clan was betrayed. Their battle strategies were exposed, their empire collapsed, and only one survivor remained.
Malvros.
The final heir of the Red Candle Clan.

Kari, the Bringer of Green Light, lay unconscious on the battlefield. Dust drifted through the air as the remains of their clash echoed across the ruined land. For a brief moment, silence returned.
Then everything exploded.
“BOOOOOOM!”
A massive wave of green cursed energy erupted from Luncius. The entire battlefield glowed emerald as pressure swept through the area like a storm. Cracks spread beneath his feet while broken stones floated into the air.
Malvros simply crossed his arms and smiled.
“At last.”
He lowered himself into a fighting stance.
“Let’s do this.”
Without another word, Luncius vanished.
The ground shattered beneath him as he charged forward with blinding speed. The air screamed from the force of his movement. Before he could reach his target, Malvros formed a shadow sign with one hand.
“SHLOOOOOOSH!”
Dark liquid flooded across the battlefield.
The black substance spread like a living ocean, wrapping around Luncius’ feet and dragging him downward. The harder he pushed, the stronger the pull became.
Malvros attacked immediately.
“BOOM!”
His fist crashed into Luncius’ jaw.

A second strike slammed into his ribs.

The attacks came so quickly they sounded like dozens of punches. Hooks, uppercuts, elbows, and body blows landed one after another as Malvros overwhelmed him with relentless pressure.

Suddenly—
“ARRRRRGH!”
A violent surge of cursed energy exploded outward.
“KRAAAAAASH!”
Malvros was blasted backward across the battlefield. Mud and shadows sprayed into the air as he landed several meters away.
Luncius slowly raised his spear.
Then pointed it directly at him.
The Green Clan warrior dropped onto one knee.
“BOOOOOOM!”
The ground beneath him shattered.
Black cracks spread across the battlefield while the surrounding shadow liquid was pushed away by the pressure alone.
Malvros smiled.
“Here he comes.”
TING.
A tiny star appeared.
Then—
“BOOOOOOOM!”
Luncius vanished.
He instantly appeared before Malvros.
But Malvros was already moving.
“SHLOOOOSH!”
A giant shadow emerged from the darkness.
Bull Tyrant.
The upper half of a monstrous black bull rose from the shadows and intercepted the spear.
“SHHKKK!”
Dark blood sprayed across the battlefield.

The spear dragged the giant creature through ruined buildings. Ancient trading halls collapsed. Towers crumbled. Entire streets were destroyed beneath the pressure.
Yet Malvros continued smiling.
The Bull Tyrant possessed a terrifying ability.
Every cursed-energy attack it received was converted into its own strength.
The more damage it took…
The stronger it became.
Golden markings ignited across its body.
Its muscles expanded.
Its eyes glowed crimson.
“Bull Tyrant.”
“Charge.”
“BOOOOOOM!”
The full beast emerged.
A gigantic black bull covered in glowing golden stripes charged across the battlefield and smashed directly into Luncius. The impact pushed him backward for hundreds of meters.
Yet Luncius remained calm.
He planted his spear.
Blocked.
Spun.
Then attacked.
“BOOM!”
The bottom of his spear slammed beneath the bull’s jaw. The giant beast’s head snapped upward, exposing its belly.
Luncius thrust.
“SHHKKK!”
The spear pierced deeply.
The Bull Tyrant absorbed the damage.
Became stronger.
But damage was still damage.
Eventually, the giant beast collapsed.
Its body dissolved into shadows before disappearing entirely.
Malvros watched the scene quietly.
Then he spoke.
“You defeated the beast.”
“But you still haven’t reached the king.”
Luncius remained silent.
Not a single response.
Only pressure.
Only killing intent.
Malvros smiled.
“It’s time.”
He raised one hand.
“Rug Repe—”
TING.
A star appeared.
“SHHHKKK!”
Malvros froze.
His arm spun through the air.
Blood followed behind it.

Luncius appeared beside him.

Blood exploded from Malvros’ mouth as his body flew through multiple ruined structures before crashing into a broken trading hall.
The Heir of the Red Candle Clan struggled to stand.
His mind raced.
What happened?
How did he move?

Another star appeared.
Luncius stood before him again.
“SWHHHH!”
The spear flashed toward his neck.
“SHLOOP!”
Malvros instantly sank into his shadows.
The spear sliced through empty air.
Moments later, he emerged hundreds of meters away while breathing heavily.
For the first time since the battle began…
He looked pressured.
But then—
TING.
The star appeared again.
Luncius was already there.
“SHHHHK!”
The spear’s blade reflected in Malvros’ eyes.
“SHLOOP!”
He disappeared into the shadows once more.
Barely surviving.
Malvros looked down at the stump where his arm once existed. Blood dripped onto the battlefield as he activated Reverse Curse Technique.
By multiplying negative cursed energy against itself, positive energy was created.
Bone regenerated.
Muscle returned.
Skin formed.
Within moments, his arm had fully regrown.
But his expression remained serious.
Luncius was getting faster.
Far faster.
Malvros raised both hands.
His cursed-energy output exploded.
“SHLOOOOOOOOSH!”
An ocean of shadows flooded the battlefield. The dark liquid spread across everything, pulling, slowing, and restricting movement wherever it reached.
Yet despite all of it…
Sweat rolled down Malvros’ face.
Because deep down, he knew.
The shadows were no longer enough.
Far away, Luncius stood motionless.
His head lowered.
His spear resting beside him.
Then he finally spoke.
“The faster you drown this battlefield…”
“…the faster I reach the bottom.”
