Pump.fun is finally done renting someone else’s pipes for cross-chain transactions.
On October 21 (UTC), the official @Pumpfun account posted a thread announcing that cross-chain trades in the app would now default to its homegrown Pump Bridge, replacing the previously integrated Relay. Its own data claims purchases are about twice as fast, the error rate has fallen from roughly 11.2% to 0.9% (a claimed reduction of about 92%), and execution prices are a little better. There are currently no additional cross-chain fees. The test ran from September 28 to October 7 and covered Robinhood, BSC, Base, Arc, Ink, and others, with a sample size of more than 400,000 transactions. Note: all these figures come from Pump.fun’s own tests.
A little background: Pump.fun only launched cross-chain support in May this year, initially using someone else’s bridge. After enough complaints, it built its own. Rival social trading app FOMO is still on Relay—and the official account went out of its way to call it out.
