$BTC $PI Network appeared in PayPalโs official documentation โ but not in the way the hype was told.
developer.paypal.com updated, on 11/08/2026, the โSupported cryptocurrenciesโ table for the Pay with Crypto tool: almost 100 coins accepted as a payment method by merchants. โPi Network โ PIโ is there, alongside Bitget Token and Ethena USDe.
But thereโs a second, official PayPal list too, much smaller: the coins you can buy, sell, and hold within the app itself. There are only 7 (BTC, BCH, LINK, ETH, LTC, PYUSD, SOL) โ and Pi isnโt on it.
In short: Piโs name made it into the store checkout, not the customerโs wallet. Neither PayPal nor the Pi Core Team has confirmed any partnership yet โ and, today, that doesnโt change anything for anyone who has Pi: you canโt spend Pi on PayPal, and the feature doesnโt work outside the U.S.
I lined up the two official lists side by side in a new video on the channel โ search โDiovane Lopesโ on YouTube to watch the full thing.
