The last time $SATS got hot, a lot of people used it as a โback-row betโ and started trading it after
$ORDI .
The story behind it isnโt complicated. When the BRC20 wave of sentiment kicked off, it was pulled onto the table right along with it.
Now itโs back on the leaderboard again. To me, it looks more like an old theme returning to life than a brand-new story starting.
Spot volume in a single day is only $1.56M, while the perpetuals/futures have already surged to $7.86M.
Not much money is actually flowing into spotโ instead itโs getting squeezed into derivatives first, and the taste is a bit off.
It touched a high of $1.073e-05, then pulled back and hovered again around $9.9e-06, like someone above is in a hurry to sell, while people below still arenโt willing to give up and are trying to take it.
You might say it has zero chance, but I donโt think itโs that hopeless.
As long as the BRC20 sector sentiment gets sparked, names like $SATSโthe old classicsโare indeed the easiest to get pulled back into the spotlight first.
But if funding rates are already leaning positive and open interest is still swelling upward, then honestly, I donโt want to chase.
This kind of structure most easily leads to prices looking โsolid,โ while in reality itโs just latecomers propping each other up.
From my view, Iโm bearish on this sideโI donโt plan to touch contracts at least today.
If you really want me to change my mind, Iโd need to see spot volume keep expanding, not derivatives continuing to play out the drama on their own.
What do you thinkโdoes $SATS look like the sector is recovering, or is it just another small emotional spark?
If you lose, donโt tag/cue me. If you win, please treat me to a cup of coffee.
