One transaction on BSC has been Pending for a while, and newer swaps will get stuck behind it. Handle the stuck transaction first.
【Conclusion】
Each transaction has a sequence number called a nonce. If a transaction with a lower nonce hasn’t completed, all transactions with higher nonces have to wait. Speeding up and canceling both use the original nonce and only increase the gas fee.
【Analysis】
Clicking Confirm repeatedly sends new transactions with higher nonces, while the old transaction is still blocking the queue. Speeding up replaces it using the same nonce and a higher gas fee. Canceling sends 0 BNB to your own address, using the nonce of the stuck transaction. If your wallet has “Speed Up” and “Cancel” buttons, use those first.
【Steps】
1. Find the Pending transaction in your wallet’s activity history. Don’t start a new swap.
2. If there’s a Speed Up button, increase the gas fee and make sure the nonce hasn’t changed.
3. If you don’t want the transaction to go through, cancel it. Once the cancellation succeeds, the following transactions can proceed.
4. Check BscScan to see whether the transaction hash has been included in a block or is still pending.
【What Went Wrong】
After it got stuck, I clicked three times in a row. I was prepared to pay gas for three transactions, but the first one still hadn’t been included in a block.
