The square is abuzz as Bitcoin hovers around $63,500. With the 24-hour session opening right near the previous close, price is indeed stuck around 63,500 for a while, then rebounds back above $64,100. It wobbles around the integer close level— is this building up for another push, or is it luring chasing funds in?
First, lay out the current price. Using the Binance BTCUSDT definition, the current price is about 64,183; the 24-hour open is about 63,503; the high about 64,610; the low about 63,295; up roughly 1.1%. The 63,500 mentioned in the topic looks more like a near-term pivot and the opening anchor, rather than something the price is still dead-fixed to at this moment. On the 4H structure, the prior day’s reading still has the main count hung on the upside 5th wave; an alternative ABC is also possible, with medium confidence. The old Fib 1.0 is around 63,881; 0.618 around 64,318. The current price has just moved above 63,881 into the 64,014 area, and above that, 64,318 still acts as overhead pressure.
【How to read this swing axis】
(For the structure diagram, see the cover and the chart image in the body. Match it with the blue line oscillation and the Fib dashed lines on the right.)
Between above and below 63,500, the pullback support comes from the retracement zone above the Aug 16 low of 62,716 and the Aug 14 hard bottom of 62,522. If price can lift from around 63,500 to above 64,100, it suggests that short-term buyers are willing to defend the integer-level. But after the spike to 64,610, the subsequent pullback indicates there is still supply pressure between 64,000 and 64,600. Holding the integer level doesn’t mean the trend has already finished breaking out.
Keep using closes for confirmation.
Bias: Bullish
· If the 63,500 to 63,295 area holds, it can be viewed as successful pivot defense
· Look for stronger confirmation via a close holding above 64,014, then reassess 64,318
· If the long thesis fails, watch for consecutive closes breaking below 62,716; the hard-bottom reference is 62,522
Bias: Bearish
· For a short on the pullback: observe the 64,318 to 64,610 zone; if it can’t make new highs and falls again, that is more favorable
· If triggered: you can look for closes dropping back below 63,881 and losing 63,500
· If the short thesis fails: watch for a close holding above 64,318 and continuation
【The real question】
Will you treat 63,500 as a bullish axis that must be defended, or as a pullback target after the pullback ends? Reply either “defend the axis” or “wait for the pullback.”
