The price pulled back -5.96% on the day, ranging from $121.29 down to $110.32. The mood isn’t light, but there hasn’t been any obvious crowded chasing-the-long cost on the perpetual side. That suggests this move is more like a rotation under high volatility, not a one-way overheating.

I’m biased bullish on $SOXL . The key point isn’t that it holds up well today—rather, it still has such strong trading follow-through when it’s falling. Essentially, it’s a high-beta expression of the semiconductor sector. As long as the market hasn’t completely rotated away from themes like computing power, AI infrastructure, advanced process, and memory recovery/repair, semiconductors are hard to be without capital for the long run. With a 3x instrument, you’re not looking at single-company narratives—you’re looking at the slope of the whole sector’s trend.

On the order flow, there’s one more thing I care about: the funding rate hasn’t risen. That indicates the contract side hasn’t reached a one-sided emotional extreme yet. The hardest trades are often when everyone already knows something is strong, and then the perpetual premium and fees eat up the remaining upside first. $SOXL is at least not in that state right now. On Binance, its US stock perpetual trading volume ranks at #3, which also tells me it’s entered a high-attention zone—liquidity is sufficient, so execution is easier.

I won’t chase and buy now. At $112.14, I’d only open a light position—spot or perpetual is the same: start with 3% of the allocation. If it loses the prior low, I’ll exit immediately. If later it can hold steady at the lower levels and the volume stays, I’ll add. Just remember that 3x ETFs naturally have decay; if the sector keeps chopping/oscillating consecutively, the net value performance may not look as clean as you expect. Also, semiconductors inherently react to macro expectations and interest-rate changes—this kind of trade can only be handled with position sizing; it’s not suitable for stubbornly holding with heavy exposure.
