Most DeFi treasuries today appear to have comprehensive paper-based risk controls: position concentration limits, blacklists of high-risk protocols, stop-loss measures for collateral de-anchoring, and user compliance admission requirements $NEWT are all in place. But the industry has long had a fatal loophole: all risk controls are written only in documents, never in the transaction execution layer.
Traditional smart contracts only mechanically execute transfer logic; they do not verify whether positions exceed limits, whether counterparties are restricted, or whether asset risk can be “pierced through.” As long as the signature format is valid, funds are transferred out immediately. Risk control relies entirely on retrospective manual review after the fact—risk occurs first, monitoring notices it later, and the so-called制度 is essentially a dead letter. This is like a financial institution displaying a thick risk-control manual, yet providing no mandatory gates before pressing the trade button; the rules are completely disconnected from the real fund flow.
