đ¨ Harmonyâs ONE Supply Just Got Hit With a Massive Shock
A reported exploit has allegedly created ~4 BILLION ONE tokens without authorization â roughly 26% of Harmonyâs circulating supply.
According to on-chain analyst Juiceberg:
â ~4B ONE reportedly minted â ~2.8B ONE reportedly moved toward exchanges â ONE dropped 50%+ before partially recovering â Harmony paused the bridge and pushed a validator patch â Wallet freezes and recovery efforts are reportedly underway â Root cause is still unconfirmed
The biggest question isn't simply âWhy did ONE dump?â
Itâs this:
How was unauthorized supply creation possible in the first place?
If a blockchainâs supply rules can be bypassed, the damage goes far beyond one tokenâs price.
And thereâs another layer to this story.
Harmony previously suffered the ~$100M Horizon Bridge hack in 2022, making todayâs incident an especially serious test of the networkâs security and recovery process.
â ď¸ Important: The 4B/2.8B figures are based on on-chain analysis and should not be treated as final until independently confirmed by Harmony.
Protocol failure, validator weakness, or something deeper?
The answer could determine whether this is simply a major exploitâor a much bigger trust crisis for Harmony.
âď¸ STABLECOIN GROWTH DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY GUARANTEE ISSUER MARGINS
Circleâs shares have reportedly fallen more than 75% from their previous peak.
Mizuho subsequently lowered its price target for $CRCL to $50 and assigned an Underperform rating.
The firm cited several concerns:
đš Growing competition among stablecoin issuers đš Pressure on distribution economics đš Dependence on reserve-generated revenue đš Potential changes to revenue-sharing arrangements đš A 2027 adjusted EBITDA estimate of approximately $699 million, around 25% below consensus at the time
The analysis highlights an important distinction.
$USDC transaction volume can grow while Circleâs retained economics face pressure from distributors, interest-rate changes and competing stablecoin infrastructure.

CRYPTO ENTERS A CRITICAL MACRO WINDOW CRYPTO MARKETS ARE NO LONGER DRIVEN ONLY BY BLOCKCHAIN NEWS AND HYPE.
Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other digital assets are increasingly reacting to global macroeconomic forces, including interest rates, inflation, oil prices, ETF flows, and geopolitical developments. One of the biggest risks right now is rising tension in the Middle East. Higher oil prices could push inflation upward, making it harder for central banks to cut rates. A prolonged period of tight monetary policy typically creates pressure on risk assets, including crypto. At the same time, investors are closely watching the ECB and the Federal Reserve. Any hawkish signals could strengthen bond yields and reduce risk appetite across financial markets. Regulation is also becoming a major market driver. From MiCA in Europe to ongoing regulatory efforts in the United States and Asia, crypto is becoming increasingly integrated into the global financial system. đ Key factors to watch: ⢠Middle East developments ⢠Oil-price volatility ⢠ECB and Fed decisions ⢠ETF inflows/outflows ⢠Stablecoin liquidity ⢠Regulatory headlines ⢠Leverage liquidations The message is simple: crypto's next move may depend more on macroeconomic conditions than speculation. If inflation cools and central banks become more accommodative, risk assets could benefit. Until then, risk management and patience remain essential.
