“Why I Stopped Trading Altcoins at Night (and You Should Too)”

A few weeks ago, I opened a 10x long on an altcoin just before sleeping. Woke up to a -70% PnL and a good lesson.

Here’s what I learned:

1. Altcoins are more volatile when you’re offline Market makers love night volatility. While you sleep, whales move.

2. No stop-loss = no mercy I thought “It won’t dump that much.” It did. And it dumped harder than my last relationship.

3. Sleep trading = stress trading You can’t manage risk when you're unconscious. Seriously—if you're not watching the charts, don’t gamble.

Now, I only trade during active market hours, with alerts set and risk capped. I still love altcoins—but with a leash on them.
