🚨 BINANCE INCIDENT REPORT IS OUT 📄
The $6.3B hack didn't start with a smart-contract bug. It started with people. 😳
🔓 How it happened:
1️⃣ An engineer searched for an AI coding tool and installed a tampered Homebrew. 🍺
2️⃣ Another took a "coding test" for a fake job on his work laptop. 💻
3️⃣ Hackers then used Binance's internal AI tool to reach the wallet engineers. 🤖
🛡️ Aftermath:
✅ About $3B reportedly frozen
✅ Binance says it's covering user losses
⚠️ Lessons:
🔹 Never install dev tools from search ads
🔹 Never run job tests on a work device
🔹 Limit access to internal tools
The weakest link is still the human. 🧠
