Is Tuesday's CPI the verdict on Bitcoin's fifth straight red week?

$BTC sits at $75,933, flat over 24 hours, holding just above the 50-week moving average at $75,556 for a fourth day. Tonight's weekly close at 7:00 PM ET decides it: five consecutive weekly losses, a streak seen only twice since 2017.

3 signals say the tape stays heavy into Tuesday:
1️⃣ December Fed hike odds at 76.8% (CME FedWatch), up from 66.9% a week ago
2️⃣ Spot BTC ETFs bled $1.28B last week, IBIT alone $1.21B in five sessions
3️⃣ Jobs came in hot: 165K vs ~65K expected, unemployment 4.1%

But one reason Tuesday might not matter as much as the fear suggests: there is no year-over-year CPI this time. October 2025 prices were never collected during the shutdown, so the print is month-over-month only. Headline 0.3% expected vs 0.6% prior, core 0.2% vs 0.3% prior. A soft core reading is the bigger surprise risk.

📊 Why it matters: October CPI lands Tuesday, Nov 10 at 8:30 AM ET, and it feeds straight into the Fed's December 9 decision. A hot print cements the hike. A soft core print flips the whole narrative, and the market is priced for the hike, not the flip.

🟢 Hold $75,556, the slide stays a grind and $81,300 is the reclaim level
🔴 Lose $75,556, $73,191 (200-day MA) is next, then $70,000 comes into view

Bottom line: BTC is defending the line that decides whether this is a correction or a winter, and Tuesday's CPI is the judge.

Hot CPI and a December hike, or a soft core print that flips the tape, which side are you on? 🐂🐻
