Samsung Wallet’s Stablecoin Account is live for eligible U.S. Galaxy users, putting USDC on Solana inside the wallet app.
The Solana Foundation confirmed on November 5 that the feature went live on November 2. Eligible users can buy, hold, send, and receive $USDC without installing a separate crypto app or managing private keys. Transfers settle on Solana, and Samsung charges no fee for sends to other Samsung Wallet users or compatible external wallets.
Bastion provides licensed custody and remittance rails, with payouts to qualifying bank accounts in more than 60 countries (fees vary by destination). Official materials cite about 82 million compatible U.S. Galaxy devices as a coverage ceiling, not active users. Access is for U.S. residents 18+ with a Samsung Account on Android 13+ Galaxy phones; New York residents are excluded for now.
