Binance just named a new CFO — less than two weeks after a $6.3B hack.

Kaiser Ng is leaving after more than five years. Co-CEO Yi He said the transition was planned over the last six months, and Justin Yek (ex-Airwallex finance VP, previously Morgan Stanley and Citi) takes the role.

The timing is the story. Even with a planned handoff, markets read leadership moves after a breach as a governance signal, not just an org chart update.

What actually matters for traders right now:
- Binance says it is covering losses from SAFU and corporate funds — users are not meant to eat the shortfall
- Withdrawals are still reopening in stages after the Oct 29 attack
- $BNB is steady near $696 while $BTC sits ~$75.7K — price is calm, trust is still being rebuilt

My take: a new CFO does not fix hot-wallet security by itself. The next proof points are cleaner withdrawal routes, tighter key controls, and whether stolen-fund freezes keep climbing. Optics first, then operations.

Does a CFO change after a hack rebuild confidence for you, or do you wait for the next PoR / withdrawal update?
