UVXYB: IS THE VOLATILITY SPIKE RUNNING OUT OF FUEL? A 4:1 SHORT SETUP
Fear is rocket fuel for UVXY. But what happens when that fear starts to fade?
I'm seeing the first signs of weakening momentum on $UVXYB .
The asset rallied roughly 35% over the observed period. But after reaching 24.63, the price started printing lower highs: 23.60, followed by 22.91.
Buyers are losing momentum. And the next interesting move might be downward.
What exactly is UVXY? It's a ProShares ETF targeting 1.5x the daily performance of an index tracking short-term VIX futures. In simple terms, it's designed to gain exposure to rising expectations of US stock market volatility.
After the sharp volatility spike on November 5, the VIX dropped approximately 9% the following day. US equities partially recovered. Should this normalization continue, UVXY could give back some of its recent gains.
I'm not trying to predict the perfect top. The idea is much simpler: test whether weakening momentum can develop into a sustained downside move.
MY SHORT SETUP:
🔴 Entry: 22.50
🟢 Take Profit: 16.50
🔴 Stop Loss: 24.00
Risk / Reward: 1:4
Potential profit: 6.00 USDT per token.
Defined risk: 1.50 USDT per token.
My working probability estimate is 40% or higher.
With a 4:1 reward-to-risk ratio, the mathematical break-even win rate is just 20%, before fees. That's the appeal of asymmetric trades: you don't need to be right every time.
This is a small-scale test of a theory with a clearly defined cost of being wrong.
$
Will $UVXYB revisit 16.50, or will volatility catch the market off guard again?
Open the chart and watch this setup develop.
