China's central bank just put the stamp on why Solana's Shanghai push got shut down.

Per China's Financial News (PBOC-linked) and WatcherGuru: authorities halted Solana advertising on Citigroup Tower in Lujiazui and stopped the Solana Accelerate China 2026 Shanghai event. They call brand promotion via domestic entities illegal virtual-currency marketing under the Feb 2026 rules, and say they'll investigate the local firms and people involved.

$SOL is around $90 on CoinGecko today — barely bouncing while the headline circulates. My read: this is a policy reminder more than a new ban. China never opened the door; high-visibility ads made enforcement easy.

If SOL holds the ~$88–90 zone into next week I'd watch for a grind back toward $95–100. Lose $88 on a daily close and $82–85 is the next pocket. Wrong if it reclaims and holds $100 while the story fades.
